Exploring intergalactic sounds, from techno to afrofuturism and from experimental house to soulful disco
▬ PROGRAM ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
▬ ABOUT ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
After a summer full of highlights, including our first night in So What! with special guests Pablo Discobar Soundsystem and hosting a stage at the new born Select Festival we head back inside. There we invite the artists that shared the Figuratives. stage at Select with KI/KI, Lewski and Marwz:
Philou Louzolo is a DJ and producer hailing for his audience to perceive traditional African music within the realm of a more obscure, sci-fi and techno indwelled electronic music experience. Last year he introduced the world to his very own label Wokoundou, an electronic music label rooted in Afrofuturism and Sci-fi. He celebrated it with gigs at beloved festivals such as Wildeburg, ZeeZout, By the Creek, DGTL and SWF.
Mien San brings the perfect amount of energy to her performances. With her charisma, in combination with a deep love for electronic music, she takes you through her story in an authentic way. Last year she co-founded the KLAUN club nights in Rotterdam, as an ode to the misfit and reckless ones.
Banque & 2:29 while releasing new music on several labels last year, Banque also started focussing on playing music for a crowd. The brothers now team up with 2:29, a new AKA from a familiar face. Hatched out of the Thick Chicken nest, 2:29 focusses on raw and experimental electro.
Pac & Frankly first played together at Select Festival. Pac’s preference for electronic music started with breaks and oldschool rave but kept spreading, until he and Frankly came up with a suitable sound for the duo. Frankly is member of the Settlers Studio, where he and his brother produce highly appreciated music as MANOS. Making them ones to watch closely.
